I'm so excited to jump on the interactive notebook bandwagon! I was really thinking about how I could incorporate these in kindergarten and sight words was the first thing that came to mind! I wanted a way for students to practice that wouldn't be lost in the shuffle. NO more sight word worksheets!
These interactive pages are great for any classroom and will make a notebook that can be referred back to often! The best part is that students can do these independently very quickly! After modeling only a couple times in kindergarten this can be a center option or done in small group since the process is similiar that students catch on quickly.
Students get a chance to explore the word in many ways!
Writing the word using letter boxes and recording the number of letters:
Differentiating between vowels and consonants:
Trace and write the word practice:
Use the word in a sentence and circle it. This can be done whole group especially when first using!
and finally Find it! Circle the words that match the sight word.
